The Wild Boar Inn offers a warm welcome to all.

Under new management, Alan and Val took over this century’s old country inn at the end of February 2006. The pub has undergone a complete refurbishment and has now been transformed into a great place to drink, eat and relax.

Imagine an 16th century stone built coaching inn... set in the foothills of the Peak District in a picture postcard landscape. Step inside the front door... discover the old oak beams, gleaming brasses and crackling log fires. Make a night of it and pitch your tent in the campsite behind the pub.

Savour the buzz of the bar... pull up an oak stool, relax with a drink and join in the friendly banter. Indulge yourself in the restaurant... polished tables, fresh flowers and delicious food... the table is yours for the night. Maybe a starter, main course and pudding... or just one of the specials, and a coffee to finish. Chill out in games room... a game of pool or maybe you prefer a throw of darts. On Saturday nights we have live music.
